Me, at last?

Okay, so.... I doubt that anyone reads this (lol), but in case ANYONE is interested, I deleted my blog a while back, then my friend said she'd like to see it, so I restored it. =)....
Uh, in relation to 'My Story', I'm still writing it, but I'm writing a couple other stories as well now, also poems, so I don't have as much heart. And also 'cos I know what's gonna happen in the story, so I 'spose it's just a bit borin'. Anyway, I'm thinking of using this blog account a bit more actively, which means I'm gonna make a new blog, other than this one, and I'm gonna write about other stuff, not just my story! Now, I'm not sure how to get everything sorted, 'cos I just wanna do so many things, but per'aps these blogs will help me sort out a few things. =)

So, just to get one thing clear, I'm 13, I'm a girl, and I think a lot. I think all the time, about loads of things, so miscellaneous that I'm not even start to make a never-ending list. Of course, I know everyone thinks, and I'm not suggesting that I'm some weirdo brainiac, I'm just saying this stuff so my readers won't be surprised by some things that I'm gonna write up later on. It's not gonna be weird, in case you're wondering, it's just gonna be my thinking, so.... enjoy!

And one more thing, (I'm trying not to be a hypocrite, so bear with me) please, KEEP AN OPEN MIND!

=) Best wishes,
Me, at last.

Just for the sake of a rest!

YAY! I just finished my first copy-full of my story!218 A4 pages is some achievement, eh? I'll continue putting up the story but I'll also be doing some more of these "random thoughts", just for the hell of it and also 'cos it's a bit hard to do nothing but type, type, type a big long story! ;))

Waking up....

Larten sat on the edge of the bed, beside the unconscious Sylvia, worried as hell.He sat there, thinking about his life, his past, his mistakes, stuff he regretted....but most of all....his decisions. He thought about the first man he'd murdered, when he was just a youth, his best friend that that man had mercilessly taken the life of, he thought about how he'd met Seba, his mentor, then how he'd met his brother-in-bond, Wester, the Hall of Final Voyage, the life-changing task he was assigned there....He thought about the break-away clan for rebellious, young vampires, called The Cubs, that he'd joined, he thought of The Lady of the Wilds (Evanna), how he earned his scar....He also thought about Malora, the girl he'd taken as an assistant, and how she'd ended up dead, because of him....He thought about the palace of ice, the baby-boy, Gavner, but most of all, his thoughts were filled with the face of a single person....Alicia....(Oh,man, I never realised I can write such cheesy stuff!!Wait 'till you hear the next bit! xD)

He cuddles up next to her in the bed (reminder-she's unconscious) and buries his head in her chest, then starts to talk to himself, since she can't hear him anyway.  Note:This is probably the cheesiest bit I've written in the book so far, so please bear with me. So, where was I? Oh, yes, he starts talking....First, he thinks about how sad he is that he let Alicia fall in love with him, since he knew even back then that love isn't meant for vampires....unless they're rich, obese, cowardly creatures, like that cursed Tanish Eul, he could have any woman head-over-heels in love with him because of his money....but that wasn't real love...."Not like the love I  have found...."Larten whispered, the launched into a long speech, which I find seriously cute, but others might think differently, so I'm not gonna go into massive detail.

He talks about all the stuff he regrets doing, especially meeting Alicia and proposing to her, letting her fall in love with him, even though she didn't even know his real name (he was using Vur Horston for cover back then). He didn't truly love her but he wanted to make her happy....he believed his own lies....but nonetheless, they were lies and that realisation soon came crashing down on him, ruining everything, just like lies always do....he told Alicia the truth about what he was, and his heart broke into a million pieces when he saw her expression as it dawned on her that the man she loved was a liar, and even worse than that....a vampire....she hated herself for ever having loved him and he hated himself for ever having let her....(note-this is what he said, so I'm practically quoting)then he says that there is stuff that he doesn't regret, like meeting Sylvia, marrying her and having kids with her.He whispered to her that he loved her while sobbing at his sad memories.Suddenly, he felt something touch his head, and before he had the chance to look up, Sylvia whispered back that she loved him too. (xDD, I sound like I got that outta some black-and-white, corny romance movie! and low-and-behold, there's still more!)

He looks up at her with a smile and asks her whether she'd heard what he said, and she nods, saying that she heard every word. Then she starts sobbing and says she's sorry.Larten -confused- asks her why she's apologising, and she says because she didn't know he'd been engaged before, and that she'd taken his life away. (I'm practically pissing myself laughing! xDD) He tells her not to say that, and that she is his life, her and Sabine and Sabina mean everything to him.He spends a bit of time comforting her, then she asks the question he'd been dreading.

Before she blacked out, what had happened??

The start of the adventures

So....the next day they wake up and after Sylvia feeds the twins and she and her husband have breakfast, her and Larten decide to take a bath. While in the bath, Sylvia tells Larten LOADS about her life before they met and also says some things about Mr.Tiny, the evil meddler.I won't say what she said right now 'cos it would just take too long, but I'm  going to continue on and say what's so important about this day.

After the bath, they are sitting on the bed having a chat, when all of a sudden they hear a noise and they both instantly stop talking.

Tick, tick, tick.

O.k., this is gonna sound weird, I know, but I'm only 13 so please bear with me.... Mr.Tiny is known to have a very significant, pink, heart-shaped watch that he always has with him....and low-and-behold, Mr.Tiny slowly enters the room with a rather stiff, worried look.Larten instantly jumps up on his feet and takes a step challengingly towards the meddler, silently warning him not to dare go near Sylvia.Mr.Tiny looks at Larten with disgust but heeds the silent advice.Mr.Tiny looks scared.Certainly not of the two snoozing babies, or the man he's just looked down upon with disgust, so it must be....

Sylvia stands up and feels her body go cold and numb, then suddenly the whole room blurs, Larten shouts something that Sylvia can't hear properly, and she finds herself staring into Mr.Tiny's petrified eyes. Her nails sink into something soft, then something warm splashes onto her.She feels a numb pain and hears a thud but doesn't realise she'd fallen onto the floor. She loses consciousness.

After this bit, I did a "bonus" point of view, which is a day in Leon's life, and an explanation of how he meets his girlfriend that will later become his wife, but that doesn't have much to do with the main story so I'm not gonna write about it unless any requests are made ;))

A day of being normal(ish)....

Larten thanks Brenda, then goes home.Next morning, him and Sylvia have a fight (I'd rather not specify over what) then they just give over and forget about it.Larten, being the one who started the argument, apologises and then suggests they go shopping, since the house was furnished but nothing else (like food, clothes etc.) were there, so they go out with the kids to buy some stuff. In one of the shops, Larten spots some cards and is delighted. (He loves playing cards and gambling and drinking, though he tries to be responsible since he became a father)

While looking at the cards, he meets a young man (19 years old), by the name of Leon, who is also a big card fan. They start talking and become good friends.Leon has spiky-fashioned, silver hair, a tattoo on his wrist and he also has a gang, so he's a bit of a punk. His mother is a prostitute so he doesn't know who his father is, or the father of his little sister Molly (10 and has a lisp) or little brother Carlow (not 1 yet). He's never been to school, so he's illiterate same as his little sister.Larten invites him over to his house for a game of cards, then all of sudden a little head of silver appears from behind Leon and asks if she can go too. It's Molly, and Leon tells her to go home and take care of Carlow and that he'd be home to tuck her in.Molly runs off home and Larten, Sylvia, Leon and the twins all go back to Shepherd's Field with all the stuff they'd bought.

At Shepherd's Field, the local kids had built a platform and are skate-boarding.Sylvia asks for a skate-board and does some amazing tricks on the platform, dazzling the locals, Leon, and her husband. She had been asked earlier on by Larten if she likes playing cards and she tells him Francesco tried to teach her but she didn't like it.He asked her who Francesco is and she almost says it's her brother, but then says he was her friend.Larten is suspicious, especially when she says Francesco's the one who'd taught her how to skate-board so well, but he just decides to let the matter drop and he'd ask about it some other time.

So him and Leon launch into a game of cards while Sylvia cooks and then suddenly, Sylvia curses loudly, so Larten goes to see what's wrong. She'd cut her finger, but she was alright.Just as Larten is about to leave, she asks him to take the children with him and take care of them while she cooks. He complains but sees her serious expression and decides it would be better if he obeyed. After their meal, while Sylvia is washing the dishes he tells Leon that he thinks Sylvia is bossy and loads of other stuff that upsets her.He didn't realise she could hear them. After Leon leaves, they have another fight, but then Larten makes it up to her and they have a good night, not knowing that the following day would be one of the most important days of their life......

Slow-Motion Continuation

Sylvia is delighted with the news, especially when Larten tells her that they're gonna buy a house.So....they find a nice neighborhood (I couldn't be bothered to go into loads of detail, since I have no idea anyways how you buy a house xP) and find a really cool house and buy it!Apparently, as one of the locals, Brenda, tells them, the house is considered "haunted" but she tells them it's just a stupid made-up story.Gerald, the man who is selling the house (and also Brenda's cousin) comes and gives them a few things to sign, asks them to write him a cheque and the house is theirs. He unwittingly decides to ask the for the name of the children, trying to be nice, but Larten snaps at him, saying they're called (meaning his children) "None of your business!".

Gerald apologises and acts very professional and sells them the house. So now, they have a house, Larten is not affected by the sun and they have children! Note: Vampires age at one tenth the normal rate so for every 10 years that pass, they look 1 year older. Effectively, Larten is 200 years old. That night, the couple hear some strange noises, and so Larten goes to investigate. The "ghosts", it turns out, are in fact two of Brenda's sons, Richard Jr. (named after his father, he's 17 and the eldest) and Ronny (2nd eldest, 15). Larten catches them and takes them home. Brenda is shocked and is very mad at them, and she apologises to Larten. She tells him that it's very difficult to keep her four sons under control since their father died, 4 years earlier. Richard Jr., Ronny, Michael (8) and Arthur (4) are her four sons.

Richard (the father) died because he was hit by a van.Driving the van was the youthful Marcus, 10 years old, but already a twisted imp. His step-father had been teaching him how to drive and the child (purposely) ran Richard over while the man was on his way home from work.Marcus became a postman and went by Shepherd's Field (the neighborhood where Sylvia and Larten got the house) every day.Brenda tells Larten that they tried putting the boy in jail, but his step-father worked in the law and bailed him out, on account that the boy did nothing so stupid again. The advise given to Larten by Brenda is to have as little involvement with Marcus as possible. Many years in the future (as we will later find out) Marcus will become one of the most hated men by Larten.

Things get a bit interestin'....

What was Larten hiding?Or rather, what did Sylvia intend to do about his inability to go out in the sun?

Right after they left Cirque Du Freak, they were just walking to wherever Larten was taking them (Sylvia didn't know) then, all of a sudden, she stopped and kissed her husband. He jerked back, and look at her with dazed eyes. He'd jerked back because he'd felt a pain in his head, and it felt as if the one responsible for the pain was Sylvia. He asked her gently about it, not wanting to sound accusing, and all she said was "You'll see".

After the following night being spent at a hotel (just a reminder, they're in this hotel 'cos they left the Cirque) Sylvia decides in the morning to pull back the curtains.Larten, being a vampire, asks her harshly whether she's trying to kill him, while trying to shield his eyes from the supposedly deadly glare of the sun's rays.In response, she wraps her fingers around his wrists and ask him when he tries to retort whether or not he trusts her.He replies saying "Of course I do!" and so she she asks him to let her show him something if he really does trust her.

And......he thus realises that he is no longer affected as a vampire by the glare of the harmless sun.He takes a shower, while Sylvia makes the bed, then she tells him there is something else she wants him to know. She tells him that she trusts no-one as much as she trusts him and that (thought not all at once) she'll tell him about her life before they met......and that is something very hard for Sylvia to do....to think back on her hard, dark, painful childhood and share it with someone else.....but she chooses to do so anyway....for the sake of nothing other than true love. (Sorry for anyone who isn't a big fan of cheesy stuff like that xP)

And so she shows him the scar on her back, a scar she'd gotten from a man that seemed all too keen to make some malevolent use of his sharp. painful blade. There is much more behind the story of the scar, but their time in the hotel is almost up, so Larten promises to her he'll never let anyone harm her or their children....then he tells her what he'd been hiding. When he'd went to inform the owner of the Cirque that they were leaving, Mr.Tall (the owner) gave Larten an envelope.Larten, being illiterate, ask Mr.Tall to tell him what's in the envelope. It turns out that Larten's old friend Wester had quit his job at Vampire Mountain as a guard and opened a casino. On his death bed, he wrote a cheque and handed over his money and his company to Larten.....So Sylvia and her husband became one of the richest couples!!
